As the Director of the Studio Space and Vocal Teacher/Coach, she is passionate about nurturing her students’ talents and building their confidence as they embark on their musical journeys. With a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, Jodi has dedicated herself to vocal education. Her further studies in Vocal Pedagogy at Alverno College, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Shenandoah Conservatory: CCM Institute reflect her deep commitment to helping others find their voices.
Throughout her professional journey, Jodi has had the privilege of performing as a featured guest soloist with the Baroque Aria Ensemble in New York City, taking the stage as a soloist with the Milwaukee Symphony Pops, and performing with the Skylight Theatre. Her commitment to her art has been acknowledged through her recognition as the People’s Choice recipient at the District Metropolitan Opera Auditions.
Jodi’s path in music began in elementary school, where she was guided by a professional voice teacher who encouraged her to explore various genres. This support helped her fulfill one of her childhood dreams: winning Ed McMahon's Star Search. Jodi understands her students' challenges and is devoted to guiding them every step of the way, fostering an environment where they can thrive and express themselves. For over twenty-five years, Jodi has been working with children, teens, and adults in areas of Private Voice Education and Personal Development. Her passion for the individual's preservation, balance, and overall vocal health is unwavering. Jodi enjoys the challenges of cross-training students of all ages in multiple genres, such as pop, folk, musical theatre, rock, rhythm & blues, and classical music. Her training in Somatic Voicework, the LoVetri Method, and her recent certification as a Neuro-Vocal Teacher & Coach, all underscore her commitment to creating accessible, sustainable, artist-centered singing.
Jodi takes pride in her students' progress within the voice studio and beyond. In Wisconsin, her students have been nominated for and awarded the Exemplary Soloist Award at the Wisconsin School Music Association Festival. Many of her dedicated students have become finalists and semi-finalists in the Wisconsin chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Auditions. Additionally, her students have gained national recognition, appearing on television shows such as The Voice and American Idol. Jodi has also enjoyed working with singer-songwriters, helping them enhance their vocal abilities and style for the music industry. You can hear some of her students featured as headliners at Milwaukee's Summerfest, the world's largest music festival.
